The Sweet Curtiss Family {Flathead Valley Portrait Photography}

I absolutely adore this family. They are my neighbors, and my friends. The last time I photographed them was when Heather had just had Kolter… and man has he grown. They love one another so much… and have so much fun together. That IS what it is all about!

Thanks you guys! I love your family and love documenting your sweet growing boys.

Sweet 5-day- old Gwynn {and brother Gus}

The other day I got to photograph my beautiful friends Chelsea+Luke’s new little bundle, sweet Gwynn. She was just 5 days old and once we got her to sleep, she dozed like an angel. Big brother Gus is so excited and such a good brother to little Gwynn. The boots, which we tried to get her in… but she was a bit to big :) were custom made for Chelsea+Luke for their wedding. Aren’t they FABULOUS! And I had to document her cute little sweater that we never put her in, because she looks so cute naked ;)

Thanks so much for bringing her to the studio. She is soooo sweet! You guys are such loving and great parents and I’m excited to watch her grow.  Makes me baby+girl CRAZY!!! :)

p.s… i love comments, so feel free

Stacey+Travis {a KoKo Verde Wedding- Flathead Valley wedding photography}

Ok… Mandy did a GREAT job on the KoKo Verde blog. While she was working on that (make SURE to check it out), I did a blog as well of my photos from the day. It was a lovely, lovely day. I love that although our styles are a bit different, it comes together so well. (A little side note about KoKo Verde: we’re booked for the summer of 2012 but both Mandy and Lindsey Jane are taking individual weddings… so contact either of us to see available dates!)

Stacey and Travis were SO MUCH fun, and we enjoyed this wedding so much. I have never shot in Woodland Park, but I want to more now. It was my favorite “First Look” to date, with her coming down a curvy, tree lined forest to meet her man. AMAZING. Congrats you two! We loved every second of documenting your big day and wish you all the love and happiness in your life as man and wife!!!

An Award!

So, the lovely Heather at Cooking all the Thyme gave me the Liebster Award! It is so nice to get some recognition for blogging! Make sure and check out her blog… it’s WONDERFUL! I love it. It not only inspires me to be more crafty but to cook and bake more… which pleases my husband :)

With all of the MILLIONS of blogs out there in cyber space… it can be a bit overwhelming at times. So I try to keep mine down to just a few. I look at a lot of photography blogs for inspiration… but these are not those.

Here are the rules to the Liebster Blog Award:

  1. Thank your Liebster Blog Award presenter on your blog… (done! thank you so much, heather!)

  2. Link back to the blogger that present said award to you. (done!)

  3. Copy and paste the blog award on your blog. (done… i think. i just pasted the link to my award at the end of this :)

  4. Present this award to 3 to 5 blogs with under 200 followers that are beautiful, funny, good, and or sparkly. (done!)

  5. Let them know they have won by commenting on their blogs. (doing as soon as I post.)

So, like I said… with so many blogs out there, it’s hard to follow a lot. Here are a few of my favorites, that I check out at least once a month.

#1: (This one is definitely bending the rules a bit as I know she has LOTS of followers… but I ADORE her blog and really couldn’t live without it in my life :

dig this chick

Not only is Nici an AMAZING writer, which I so admire and long to be better at, but her photographs are top notch. Her stories warm my heart, make me smile, laugh, and cry. She is such a talented cook, mom, seamstress, writer, photographer and  MORE. I definitely dig this chick!!! :) and think you will too!

#2:

Karen Minton (artist blog)

We have 3 of her pieces… and I love them so much. I love every creative thing this talented mom does! They just moved to Cali… which makes the whole community around here sad. They are very missed, but at least I can keep up with her art and work through her wonderful blog. I think that California will be instrumental for getting her beautiful art recognized. She is a true inspiration to me and makes me want to branch out and be more “artistic”.

#3:

Rebecca Stumpf… now she has 3 blogs I have to keep up with :) But she just returned from a 2-year stint in Costa Rica, and I loved reading about her adventures… and now has a photography and food blog as well! Busy gal! Busy and talented. She shot my wedding and I am so thankful for the wonderful memories of that beautiful day she captured. She is also the little sister of my longest and most beautiful friend JEX. I grew up with her family and love them all to pieces. If you are in Colorado and looking for someone to shoot your wedding, look her up (if I can’t do it for you ;)

Here are her 3 blogs:

and her more updated and current one:

and here is my award link… which is yet another blog you should check out!!!

Everett, sweet E. {just for FUN}

It’s a challenge to be a parent sometimes. There is so much involved… so much to do, so much to worry about, SO MUCH. I love these days when I can just play with my little love bud. It was snowy and cold out, and he had a cold (and I felt like I was getting his.) I can’t say how lucky both my husband and I are to get days with him. He is so precious.

I am grateful to have my studio to be able to shoot indoors for these situations. Although I prefer natural light, times like this I’m thankful. We had lots of fun, and much to his dad’s dislike, I just HAD to try a little girly outfit I have for the studio on him. I must say, he’d make a really pretty girl :)

Life would be SO different without this little one… and today, while he’s with daddy, and mommy should be working, she’s doing this instead ;) But why not? We work hard. And they grow fast.

Have a wonderful weekend friends!

xoxo

Kat and Family {part and side TWO}

Another fun shoot with the ever so fun Kat+Family and adorable blue eyed Addi. What Kat did was gift her family shoots for Christmas… and I think this is THE BEST GIFT you can give! Also, on this one we got to include the 4 dogs that are also part of the family. Thanks so much… again, for another fun shoot. I look forward to getting to know your family more.

The Beautiful Baldridge (and Ellingson :) Family

This is a family full of beauties… beautiful girls and now a new beautiful baby boy. Beautiful smiles+eyes. I shot the wedding of Lauren and Brittan on Big Mountain and it was such a gorgeous day. So excited that they are expanding their sweet family. Not only did I enjoy this New Year’s day shoot, but so did the animals (note last picture of them resting by my gear and on the couch.)  I can’t get enough of seeing first time grandparents with the babes… it make my heart sing. Thanks so much all you beauties! It was a great way to bring in the New Year, documenting your wonderful family. So glad you all got to get together over the holidays.

The many sweet faces of Ms. Addi

Such a fun studio shoot… this family was a BLAST!!!Before I left for my much needed and appreciated vacation, I had the opportunity to shoot Kat, her husband and beautiful daughter, her mom and brother and sister-in-law. They were such a FUN bunch… as you can see. I laughed so hard at the studio session… so much fun. Thanks so much. Can’t wait to capture the next family! ;)
