Janaina+Pedro {expecting love birds}

So… my goal on my blog lately is to keep it down to just a few images. That for me is really hard. And I’m really working towards that goal and will start doing this AFTER this blog post. But this post I needed to keep big, for a specific reason. The mama-to-be’s family lives in Brazil, and his family away as well. So, needless to say they are anxious to see her cute belly.

This shoot was a gift from a dear friend of mine from High School. I didn’t know Janaina+Pedro, as they are my friend Emily’s sister and brother in-law, but we talked before the shoot and when we met up before the shoot, we connected instantly. Pedro makes Janaina laugh non-stop… I LOVE IT! They are so excited to welcome their new baby girl into their lives. Their laughter and smiles were so contagious. (And isn’t she stunning? I think she reminds me a bit of Winnie Cooper… oh, ‘The Wonder Years’, love + miss it! )

I’m so excited to meet your little one… thanks so much for a fun afternoon back in Missoula.

Audrey Rose turns O-N-E

It’s always so great to see how much a little one changes and grows in to a little girl. I photographed Audrey when she was just a newborn… and really haven’t seen her since. She was SO good, smiley and happy (until she unfortunately got a little wax from her candle in her mouth … that was not so fun for her). We had Daddy’s whole family there. So Mom, Dad, Grandma and Grandpa + Great Grandma. What a joy to capture!

Sarah… the most radiant pregnant woman {maternity session}

We both had SO much fun doing this shoot. Sarah is SOOO laid back, and we talked, and laughed a lot. Always good. Plus, can you say ‘jealous’? I did… she looks amazing for being 8 months pregnant.

The “B” is for boy, as her and her amazing husband will welcome in the next month or so. I’m so happy for the two of you. You both will be fabulous, loving and FUN parents to your precious little one, I just KNOW it.

We had so much fun celebrating Everett’s 2nd birthday downtown at the Craggy Range Bar and Grill! Thanks guys! Above is the traditional Nelson family Lamb cake… this year I didn’t have my mom here to help me make it, so he’s got a bit of a crooked neck… but he still tasted great. Thanks everyone for joining us! E’s so lucky to have such a great community and friends!

The sweet and growing Schott Family {maternity+family photos}

What a wonderful family! I have known the Schott Family since I moved to Whitefish back in 2002. They are a HUGE part of the community and are about to welcome a new member… baby girl or boy— we will see shortly! Thanks for the fun shoot Lyndsay, Brian and Ethan! Ethan fell in love with the LOVE sign (that he wrote himself) so I had to show all my favorites of his HUGE, amazing smile and the sign. What a CUTE boy!!!

Can’t wait to meet the little bundle! He or she will be loved beyond belief.

Sweet Ms. Ruby {newborn}

Otto got a little sister! And her name is Ruby… what a sweet name, and an even sweeter little girl. She was SO good for the session. Didn’t really want to sleep much, but wasn’t fussy… until the end. Welcome to the world sweet Ruby!!! You are going to love your big brother and have such wonderful parents. Can’t wait to watch you grow.

So… this AMAZINGLY ADORABLE couple won a give away from me for a complimentary photo session.

They are SO in the honeymoon stage… and it melted my heart to see their love for one another.

A sister or brother for Otto

This is Otto… he is a cute one indeed… and a mover He is excited about his baby sister or brother to be born SOON. He thinks it will be a girl. We will see. I had so much fun photographing Otto and his family and my soon to be NEW STUDIO! Next time I see them, I will be taking pictures of that sweet little girl or boy. Can’t wait. If you don’t recognize this family, you should. They own and run Amazing Crepes in downtown Whitefish. I LOVE their crepes. Sweet, savory… either way you can’t go wrong there. Can’t wait to meet your new little bundle.

(UPDATE!!! So, after this shoot, Becky went into labor and had a BABY GIRL… little Ruby Helen (LOVE the name!) Congrats to the lovely family! Can’t wait to meet and photograph little Ruby. Newborn post to come!)

a new toy

so while i was in vegas at the photo conference… i purchased a new fun “toy” —- a mini polaroid instant camera (ABOVE) and i am in love… and so is everett. it’s his new favorite “toy” as well. he say’s “picture, picture, picture” x100 when he sees it. then i say after the photo comes out, “wait until it comes up” so he sits and says “up” x100 and waits for the image to appear. then he claps, and i clap and we see the image we took. so cool… but the downfall- he wants to BLOW through all my film.
